The swimming pool at Wentworth Leisure Centre, Hexham is a brand new, multi-million pound development, funded by Tynedale Council and run by North Country leisure Tynedale.
Ultra modern facilities are on offer including a 25m six lane swimming pool,studio pool, fun and splash areas, a viewing gallery and a new cafe. The pool is open for over 100 hours per week to offer a range of sessions to suit everyone, including children's and adult's swimming lessons, Aquafit,Young at Heart, lane swim and ladies only swim. Why not take advantage of our popular creche facility and have a peaceful swim while the children play!
There is also a Triathlon Club and a Canoe Club, as well as regular meetings with Tynedale Swimming Club. Aqua Babes and Aqua Pre-school sessions also run doing the week.
The Wentworth Leisure centre is powered by renewable energy sources which reduce the centre's energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The 540kw biomass boiler is fired by burning woodchip from local forests and this heats not only the pool but also the heating system and hot water. The Centre has also installed solar roof panels.
The facilities are in addition to other activities at the centre which include fitness gym and classes, sports hall, indoor bowls and Jungle Jacks soft play.

A choice of membership options are available; big discounts can be had when couples or families join together.

From the A69 take the Hexham exit. Continue over the bridge and turn left into Wentworth park car park. The leisure centre is next to Waitrose.
