Copeland Swimming Pool, Cumbria's premier pool, is based a short distance from Whitehaven town centre and boasts a 25 metre, six lane pool and an additional teaching pool. There is a comprehensive range of activities on offer ranging from adult only swimming, parent & toddler sessions, inflatable fun time and swims for the over 50's.
Aquanatal sessions for expecting and new mothers are available. When your child is a little older, why not bring them to our parent and toddler classes to get your child accustomed to water at an early age.
Copeland Pool supports all national initiatives to encourage and enable children to be active and we have excellent facilities and a variety of classes and activities to suit everyone. Following the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming, we ensure the development of a wide range of skills and disciplines. Other lessons include personal survival and life-saving. Swim fun and inflatable sessions are available all year round. We create specific programmes for all school holidays including half terms.
Sessions are available every week for Copeland Over 55's and our weekly Aquafit classes are a great form of low impact exercise which can help to shape and tone the body.
We also have ladies only sessions and lane swim sessions, available throughout the week.
Our Copeland Access to Leisure (Cal) Card offers discounts on courses and activities throughout our sites in Copeland and also on goods and services from local companies. Green cards are available for those in receipt of benefits.

Approach Whitehaven and follow the brown tourist signs, taking the A595 flyover towards Barrow. Turn left through Hensingham, still following the brown tourist signs and head for Cleator Moor.
Turn right at the mini-roundabout passing the firestation. Copeland Swimming Pool is half a mile along the road on the right hand side.
